What Does Beta Mean?
You may have noticed a Beta label on some features or tools throughout LiteFarm and wondered what it means. We’ll cover that here, not focusing on one particular feature or tool, but the purpose and the functionality of the Beta tag.
A beta version is an early release of a feature, giving you the opportunity to explore it while it’s still being refined. Think of it as a preliminary version into what’s coming next! While beta features are fully functional, they might have a few quirks as developers work to perfect them.
Why Use Beta?
Releasing features in beta serves several key purposes:
•Real-world testing: Ensuring features perform well in practical, real-life scenarios.
•Gathering feedback: Learning how users interact with the feature and identifying areas for improvement.
•Continuous improvement: Refining and enhancing features based on valuable user insights.
Your Feedback Matters
Feedback is at the heart of every beta release. Whether it’s something you love, a bug you encounter, or a suggestion for improvement, your input is crucial to shaping the final product.
There are two ways you can share feedback:
In-app: By clicking the mail icon, you will open the support and feedback portal. You can share your ideas, ask for additional information or report a bug, along with any helpful screenshots.
Productboard: Productboard is an idea space where users can suggest new features for LiteFarm, as well as vote and comment on asked-for features from other users.
How You Can Get Involved
Whenever you see a Beta label, we invite you to try out the feature and share your thoughts. Use one of the two options mentioned above to let us know your thoughts.
Together, with your help, we can create something truly amazing!
As always,
Happy farming
